Culinary arts school graduates find themselves working in restaurants,
hotels, clubs, and a variety of other places. The work includes
directing the activities of the staff, including planning the menu,
insuring that the right ingredients are available, and preparing
the food. Culinary arts schools also train you to manage budgeting,
purchasing supplies, hiring staff, and running the kitchen. Caterers
have the added challenge of delivering the food to an offsite location.

full-time certificate programs in the Culinary and Pastry Arts.
The 12-month, Culinary Career Training Program has a strong emphasis
on classical techniques and theories of cooking. The 8-month Pastry
Arts Program is focused on classical techniques of desserts and
French pastries. Divided into three 10-week sessions, the program
is an intensive hands-on course for serious students. Our nationally
accredited professional programs combine classroom training with
a paid externship program working at the finest restaurants and

Introduction: Offering an Associate degree in Culinary Arts and
a Bachelor degree in Hospitality Management, Stratford University
offers students the ability to complete an AAS in 15 months and
a BA in 30 months. Classes provide a balance of hands-on as well
as theoretical education. Convenient class schedules allow students
to hold down full-time jobs while attending classes. Graduates receive
job placement assistance, and most find multiple job offers before
graduation. What makes Stratford unique is its focus on student
learning. Faculty truly care about helping students learn valuable
industry skills, so they can excel in the profession. Financial
planning works with students to make sure that students can afford
