Program
Professional Career Development Institute (PCDI) is a widely respected, nationally
accredited distance education school. This comprehensive home study course in
gunsmithing should help prepare you to start working on the guns of your friends
and neighbors. And give you the skills needed to start building a business of
your own. You will learn about cleaning, maintaining, and servicing handguns,
rifles and shotguns and how to install and replace components, and keep guns
in top condition. Students receive comprehensive texts and study materials by
mail, and study in the convenience of home, at their own pace. Exams are open-book.
Also available is a home study high school diploma program from James Madison
High School. Monthly tuition is interest free. Students may enroll online, year-round.
PCDI is an Accredited Member of the Distance Education and Training Council.
The Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council is
listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting
agency, for distance learning schools. PCDI is qualified under the Defense Activity

Council (DETC), Washington, D.C. Education Direct has also been reviewed and
approved as an Authorized Provider of continuing education and training programs
by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).
This means students can earn CEUs (Continuing Education Units) for Education
Direct courses completed. All Education Direct programs are affiliated with
